Today, the eMastercam forums receive a new addition: the Post Processor Development forum. Born of the recently announced strategic post processor development partnershipthis brainchild will serve a variety of purposes. It will be a place where people from the Mastercam post writing community can share information and post writing tricks. Experienced post writers can share their knowledge with anyone who is looking to write or modify their own post. It is also a place where CNC machine manufacturers can go to share information about their machine’s controllers in order to help post writers. Perhaps most importantly, it will provide quick access to post information for high level post developers and novices alike.

Post Dev Forum

The new Post Processor Development forum will be open to everyone; no special access needed. The next time you log in, it should be visible within the Mastercam Forums. We have also made some changes to the order in which the forums appear; bringing the more frequented forums to the top. In an effort to keep Mastercam related development efforts together, while putting an emphasis on Post Processors, the new forum will supersede what used to be called the “Developer’s Forum” which will now take on the name “Mastercam C-Hook, NET-Hook and VBScript Development” forum, and be found beneath the Post Processor Development forum.

Post Dev Team Badge

To help you identify members of the In-House Solutions Post Processor Development Team, we have added badges to reflect this status. We encourage you to join them in the new venue.

It may be stating the obvious, but all post processor related topics should now go in the Post Processor Development forum. This also includes previously created topics. We will be looking to our moderators to help us identify and move relevant threads. Please bring any topic that belongs in the new Post Processor forum to either a moderator’s attention or send a message to Webby.

We hope you enjoy and make use of the new forum. As always, we appreciate your feedback which is best shared in the Community Feedback forum. Why not head there now?
