I am using draft 9.1 to communicate with a fanuc 21t control on a lathe. The cable connection is a smart cable(automatically configures pin connections)to RS232 Express card, which I have used in the past for transmitting back and forth.I recently started using a new laptop and the problems have started. The only lathe settings are, the port you are using, the stop bits, baud rate. I am matching Mastercam's settings but I can't transmit. It appears that Mastercam can send without errors but the Lathe is not reading and also it appears that the lathe is trying to punch but Mastercam is not recieving.
Anybody have any ideas ?

Yeah go back to the old computer. You probably had a serial port that you were using and not trying ot use 3 different adapters to accomplish the same task and you are going to fight and fight till you just deal with the fact older equipment has problems. If the old computer died go to ebay and get a replacement one pretty cheap. Not trying to be mean, just stating the facts.

The comm port setting was the first setting that I looked at lazyboy. Thank you any way I figure the problem out.
