Hi,

Does anybody have the ability to upload the installation files for V9.1 MR0304? We've misplaced our CD and are unable to reinstall on our new hardware. It's an old release, I know, but it serves our needs quite well.

Many thanks in advance.

Andy

Chances are it won't run on the new hardware.

I think a Prescott with XP is about as far as she goes....

If you're installing on Windows 7, you may get it to run but you're not going to like the way it runs.
Even in Compatibility as so many like to throw out there.

Call your reseller, see if they have something but at this point it is completely unsupported.

On occasion we use V9MR0105 on our modern Dells running WIn6x64
It runs pretty good though the graphics can be glitchy.
The issue with running V9 in Win7 is getting the HASP to work.
We've got a nethasp and it works fine.
I have never heard or seen anyone getting V9 to run in Win7 on a USP or parrallel hasp.
Getting a copy of the software will be a problem too.
V9 is a dead release and CNC Software does not support it.
You dealer may have an old disk laying around.. or maybe someone here on the forum
has a copy on their FTP they'd be willing to share

Actually Tom, V9 will run on x86 in Win7, just not well, it is the x64 platform that if you have a Hasp, it will not run, I have heard a nethasp will but again on Win7, the performance is NOT acceptable.

The only cds I have are 9.1SP2 and the very last MR0105.

I liked 9.1SP2 better anyways....

Quite possibly but by that time it was VERY mature as a product.

One of the guys here used V9 for the aggregate right angle head stuff from time to time.
He doesn't have any trouble with it.. but he's just doing simple wireframe stuff

I was doing and still am doing full blown 3 axis 3D stuff with 9.....

HASS posts are freaking bullet proof.....

I love my X5 though....but 9.1SP2 was and still is World class software.

Thanks everyone, I'm still hoping someone has the files and doesn't mind sharing. I'm pretty confident that I can get it to work though, the new hardware is running W7-64 and I've been working with all sorts of other programs on it since release. I think our maintenance expiry date was pre-MR0105 though (DAMN!)

Have you asked your reseller?

and as I work for a reseller, I can tell you with certainty it's NOT going to run.

Can V9 be patched to 9.1 and then to MR0304? I'm after the router module in particular, which I believe wasn't a part of V9.

This is your best option..
Build a dual boot system on your new machine
Xp and WIn 7
Clone your old hard drive to a new one and use that in the XP boot..
that's the best way to run V9 on modern hardware

Me too baby; that's why we still run it even though we are on Maintenance and own every subsequent release. That being said, we're girding our loins for the jump to X5
