Why no tool table output in generic fanuc 3x?

Any reason why this is set to 2?  I'd think more people want tool info at toolchange, than not.

"2" is the default setting for that switch because some users only use an external setup sheet and don't want the comments in the header at all. The switch exists so that you as the user have the option of setting it to your own personal preference. This is the case with most of the default switch settings.

Back in the day (and currently as testified in the what's your oldest control topic) memory was a luxury. LOTS of machines with 64k program storage out there. Those extra characters count.

Well if we were trying to conserve code, this might work too, IF it worked.
