Just started running X6 Mill and everytime I start a new file I get an "error loading holder from file". I figure that it is just a directory mapping problem but for the life of me I cannot find where to set the default for the tool holders. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the MCAMX CONTROL APPLET, Go to "User Interface" and in the box to the right, make sure the "File Dialog Style" is set to "Mastercam X style" If it is set to "Microsoft Windows standard", you may get that error. It is a known and logged bug with CNC.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unsure of what you mean by "MCAMX CONTROL APPLET".

it's in the Windows Control Panel
If you have multiple versions on Mastercam installed, be sure to select X6 from the drop down.
If you're run X6 x64 and earlier version of Mastercam, there will be 2 apllets in the control panel
an x32 version and an x64 version

If it is set to "Microsoft Windows standard"
Heads up
If you don't leave it set to "Microsoft Windows standard" You will loose
the 'ask to overwrite' when reposting a cutter path.

I thought this was when you tried to start a new tool path and it was looking for the holder that was associated with your default operation on that toolpath.
