I'm trying to rough out each slot on this part using a 2d HS toolpath with axis sub ( rotated around X here).
How should i set up everything to make it turn out right? I can't get the toolpath to line up with the slot.

Should i be using the bottom of the slot and unrolling that? What is the best way to generate geo for this type of toolpath?
Thanks!

Do you have to use Axis Subs, I find that when you try to mill straight walls because the cutter never leaves the center, I get undercuts and not a staight wall. You should try simultaneous 4th axis or the screenshot you have might also work, you would probably need a second plane for the Rest operation on the material missed by the roughpass.
