Ernie, not sure what you have going on there but AVG does NOT like something in there

It is going through and removing file after file, it actually removed ALL of the Verisurf dlls

I don't believe you're infecting anything but something about the way it's written is making a stink with my virus scan for sure

Malware says the installer is clean but after installing AVG went wild, mind you the test versions we've been using for a couple of weeks, NEVER did this

I do NOT like the idea of having to disable stuff, particularly security level stuff, to get an install, it just stands the hairs on the back of my neck on end, I should not have to but....

I disabled AVG for 10 minutes and installed, started Mastercam,, closed it, restated AVG, did a scan, so far, clean....

We'll see what happens when it does it's next full and thorough scan.

Just really curious because as I stated, none of the test versions caused this issue

John, not sure why I just checked it with 5 different programs and nothing shows up? Please give me the AVG you are using so we can submit to them to get it removed from the false positive list.

Jay, I think I have been down this road with that part before. I think they are not round but really oblong by about .002 if memory serves me correct. Please send me the file I do not install the samples so I can review and get back to you. I have some other videos and will post them up tomorrow.

John the free edition I have not had much luck getting anything checked in the Enterprise edition I have been about 50%. Problem is how many times has it been installed verse a real threat. Not to many people installed they see it as a threat.

Never been a real fan of AVG myself, especially now since MS has a free scanner that works just as well and has a light footprint, I've got 3 PC's at the house running it sice it came out and so far no problems.

Juat sayin'

  :D :P
