This is one more proof some of these Chinese guys have little value for intellectual property.

<rant-on>

It's easier to grow as a nation when you philosophy is about steal what others worked hard to develop.

Sorry but when I see this I can't refrain myself from thinking China, Russia, North Korea, are the piece of xxxx they are just because they can't do better. It's like "we know we cannot do better than the others, so let's be nasty as no one else because we can do that better than no one else."

It's their way to excel at something.

I am sure there are decent Chinese, Russians and North Koreans out there.. its always a bad idea to let one bad example ruin it for everyone else..

This guy is obviously just not one of the good ones..

You are absolutely right. I should have underlined the word "some" in my first sentence.

I'm Brazilian. Our country has improved a lot in the past 20 years, but we're still far from what the taxes we pay should return to us. Sadly, because of a minority, we're often perceived as dishonest and "smart @sses" out there.

The truth from my experience is that most of us, 95%, are overall honest people. But the other 5%, they are the ones who are brave enough to leave the country and live abroad, or the ones who dare to enter into politics in order to live at the expense of the other 95%. This 5% causes the damage we see in the news. Most of people that go live abroad though are very honest and left Brazil because they could not endure it any longer. It's impossible to determine accurately the amount of people that are dishonest. But they are like a drop of oil in a tank of clean water. You know what I mean.

However, 70% of the whole does not care about the tomorrow - All they want is to take advantage of the now. This 70% do not think or act collectively, they just care about themselves. They vote to get things for their own good, they enjoy assistencialism and in some poor areas they don't even have other options because the phuckers they elected keep them on a leash.

So 95% of people here are honest, and from this 95%, 70% only care about their bellies. Even being fairly honest, they ignore the greater good unless they benefit from it as well.

Yesterday I went to a shopping mall close to our home. There were about 20-30 parking slots for handicapped people. Most of them were filled by young people with tuned cars that were not suitable for a handicapped individual.

They left their cars smiling and proud they got a slot close to the main entrance. Security staff or citizens, no one says anything. My wife prays to God for me not going to talk to them. She fears violence.

I get in with her with a profound feeling of impotence. I'm ashamed to see what nation we became. 30 years ago that attitude would be perceived differently. Senior citizens don't feel safe to tell young people about their bad attitudes.

In the end, 95% of the individuals are honest people, but that does not make our country better. And as a Brazilian, I sorry for us, but I think that our miseries are self inflected, because of what we are as a whole.

There are no victims here. We are what we are as a nation because of what we are as individuals. The same in China, North Korea, Russia, Haiti, etc.

This guy had the balls to come here and show his disdain for the correct and moral approach. He is probably a kid around 20's, what partially explains it. He's probably laughing while he reads this. Just like the boys in the parking area.

I think Brazilians would not be that brave in most cases but I can't tell you for how long.

North America gives them 100 times more, then what (they)(insert country of choice here) steal.

Software is the most menial theft of them all because even a 6 yr old can

install utorrent and download ANY software they want, in ANY country,

including our own.

Blimey Rick - Why didn't you tell me this earlier. I had to buy a couple of copies and it cost me a fortune!

Daniel - nice (but sad) post. Sign of the times I'm afraid. The gradual decline keeps going. Here (UK) I blame the doo good idiots that outlawed it to smack your child if they did wrong, and have taken away the cane from schools which was a great deterrent (I was scared stiff at school of it).

Nearly all the kids nowadays have no respect as they have grown up with little authority. A mates wife is a teacher assistance and the kids just yell at the teachers and shout 'I know my rights'. They're 8-10 years old.

Very sad.

We have the anti smacking law here too. And police get no respect like they used to here. The "Rules Are Made To Be Broken" phrase is lived in our country all the time. Sadly, it is a sign of the times.
