How to use CUSTOM fields with ATP

I have been trying with little success to import data using the CUSTOM fields via the ATP.

 

I am using the KCDw import format, but am willing to use another format to import custom data to my nestings.

 

Initially, I would just like to import a single CUSTOM field that would contain my edge banding information. It is text information of the format:

LMV-FMV-BMV-R0, where the first character is the side (L=Left/F=Front/B=Back/R=Right) and the other characters specify the veneer (MV=Maple Veneer/0=None). I want to use the Custom field with the Reports.

 

What do I change in the KCDW.xml file, or other file, to make 1 or more custom fields function properly to import data?

Kirk! Looks like we're going down the same path with this data... Have you had any success? I'm also looking to generate an XML file containing custom data..

Unfortunately it appears that there is a small but fatal flaw with the custom columns functionality and as such it will not work as designed at this time. I have identified and applied a fix in our daily build and tested that it now works as expected. I do not have an ETA on when this fix will be released but I am pushing for ASAP. I do apologize for any inconvenience caused.

 

There will also be detailed information on how to correctly configure a custom column cutlist with the next release.
