Help Needed with Sodick W Post.

Recommended Posts

G'day all.

I need big help from the board members. I'm trying to modify an MPWIRE v9.0 for MCVX5 to program a Sodick WCutter. I do not have an original post as the machine used to be programmed with APT system Using two floppies on the very slow computers.

I need to output every line of the NC file in brackets and a semicolon at the end of every line before the closing bracket, like this:

"( ON OFF IP HP MA SV V SF C WT WS WP WC);"
"C000 = 002 020 016 000 19 05 03 0007 00 000 000 000 000;"
"H000 = +00000000;"
"H120 = +00000120;"
"N0000 (MAIN PROGRAM);"
"G90;"
"G54;"
"G92X-10000Y0Z0;"
"/G2;"
"T89;"
"T84;"
"G41H120;"
"G50A0;"
"C109WS00WT00;"
"M98P0010;"
"T85;"
"T89;"
"M02;"
";"
"N0010 (SUB PRO 1 / G41);"
"G01X-10000;"
"X-5000Y-5000;"
"X-2264Y-2264;"

My output now is like this:

(TAPER HOLE)
H001 = .1525
O5001
G21
G90
G92X0.Y0.Z-15.U0.V0.
T91

X-8.5Y-7.5U1.V1.
Y-7.49U1.V.9988
Y-6.49U1.V.8781

I have not the slightest clue how to achieve this, and I'll be very grateful if some one helps me.

Thank you for reading

I know you have to use an editor and done lots of post editing, but how do I get to output those prefix and suffix. I need to put a ; at the en of every line and every line between brackets, using the post. How can I do that mate?

The d!ckhead "ITs" change PCs and OS and re install MCX5 but did not back up any data. MD, CD Tool library, Posts. In total 6 CNC cetres.

Thanks for answering 5axis Guy

G'day

No wander I had no answers. I made a mistake explaining what I want. No brackets around the lines, Instead, semicolon at the end of every line and quotes around every line

I need to output every line of the NC file in this format "code;" as in the example above. I will appreciate your help guys.

I'm getting too old for this.

Regards

John

It's been several years since I used a Sodick post but as I remember I had to change one of the misc integers to a 1 instead of 0 to get what you want on each end of every line.
