4th axis "A" output

My post will only post positive directions ie A270. when I would like it to post that as a A-90. to avoid a collision. but still post in a positive direction for the other side like A90.

 

Please help

If you go into the machine definition and go down and double click on the VMC A Axis and duplicate the settings you will get A-90 instead of A270.

Axis of rotation: X+

0 Deg. Position: Z+

Direction CCW

Min. Travel Limit: -360000.0

Max Travel Limit: 360000.0

Min. Repo angle: -360000.0

Max Repo angle: 360000.0

Set Continuous Axis Type to: Signed Continuous

Yes but then it will go to A-270. where I want it to go to A90. still, what I trying to achieve is for it to not go past 180. and use both positive values and negative values.

 

If you know of a way to do that it would be a great help and much appreciated

I have the same situation and would also like to have A90 and A-90 instead of A270...

EDIT:

If I put in an A0 operation IN BETWEEN the A90 and A-90 operations I will get what I want...

At this point not sure if the 4th axis will swing down into the table when going from 90 to -90(270)

None of the 4X posts have "travel limits". You will have to make post processor modifications to be able to control the rotary output.

Agreed or the toolpath has to be created in such a way to stay in a 4 Axis Zone.
