Insanely long time to generate active report suddenly

It takes like 5 min to generate a simple active report all of the sudden.  I'm using a custom report that has worked fine the other day...ideas? Just a few drilling and contour ops.

I assume this is in X7?

Very sketchy, one time it works fine and then the next,,,   (crickets)

Try it with about 450 operations and you can grow a beard waiting.....

It's insane watching it process every single operation one at a time......

 

 

X+ toollist ,   about 2 seconds.....everytime.....

Chris, see how it works in X8

 

at least if its broke in X7 and acts the same in X8 you can have it addressed

before the official release date of X8.

Ok I figured it out: I had the same session of x7 open for a few hrs. (Yes had run ram saver many many times). A setup sheet progressively took longer and longer. Closed and re-opened and back to about 10 seconds for 30 operations.

 

Must be some sort of cache thing? I'll ask cnc and post back.

ahhh, i have a dozen or so things off the top of my head that needs

X7 to close and restart just to function properly again... recognize solids again....

paths that stay dirty after regenning, geometry which appears to be invisible.....etc.
