AUGER TOOLPATH

HEAVY METAL

Hello

Im having trouble getting a good toolpath on the auger. The blunt end of the thread is giving me fits. Depending on what I have tried

it gouges or takes a heavy depth of cut or plunges into material. I saved the file on the ftp under unspecfied uploads folder (auger).IF someone wants to take a look and offer a suggestion . Thanks.

I used curve 5ax set to 4 for roughing . I had to treat the end different .I think I will have to use 3d surface indexed at a angle to rough and finish. Multiaxis wasn't working there for me. I going to try to offset curves right amount to get sides with curve 5 ax set to 4 output. Might be missing something find out when I try it tomorrow. Rotary 4 axis is a nice finish path. I wish you could use a bull or endmill with this path. It forces me to use a 1/4 EM cause of 1/8 radius at the wall meets floor.
