X8 Backplot not showing retract plane in drill cycles

Recently upgraded from X6 to X8. I'm not seeing the tool rapid from the clearance plane to the retract plane in backplot but when I post the program, it posts with the correct "R" value in the G81 drill cycle. Anyone else having this happen?

that is in the classic correct as that is the default. if you switch to the new one it will be right.

Thanks for the response Jay, but I'd really like to see the "classic" backplot show the "Retract" moves like it used to. If you step thru backplot, you'll see the vcr scroll bar moving while doing the retract moves, but it doesn't display it in the graphics window. Seems like a bug that needs to be fixed.

It is a known bug and has been addressed in the next release. I have no idea if will make it for X8.

Dave, do you need to know how to set to the new backlot by default?

I'm having the same issue. Just upgraded from X6 to X8. X8 drill cycle is not showing the retract before moving to the next position. When at the bottom of a hole, the next position is over the next hole. Also according to the X8 "What's New" pdf, "Drill cycles in both Backplot and Verify now respect the settings in the parameter pages, so you see the tool moving in and out as defined. This applies to all cycles for Mill and Lathe".

 

This is also not working. I see no retract of the Z axis before moving to the next position & there is no pecking shown either.

 

Anybody know what's wrong ?
