Why not program it correctly? Use the 2D toolpath without it and then use the same toolpath with it only for finishing? You would need to trick the post and create a trigger in the post to not use it and then use it. To dual that down and tune it verses just programming it correctly sorry for me is chasing your tail.

The topic I have seen was someone wanting to turn it on and off in a rapid move.

Hi Ron,

I thought about the solution as you pointed and I'm looking for something shortcut if there is any.  Thank you for your time to respond my question, Ron.

Pc that is just it there is not real short cut. Why walk around to the back of your shop if you just go out the side door to get your car. Simple is as simple does and I really appreciate your thinking out of the box, but some times things can be made more complicated than they need to be. I again am sorry I see this as one of those cases, but again I say it is.

Why does it matter if the passes before it have comp? What problem does it create that you are trying to overcome here? Root cause analysis is finding out what the root cause of the problem is. Tool is chattering. What is causing it to chatter? Where is it chattering? What are the effects of that chatter? Are you getting excessive tool wear? Surface finish being effected? Once you identify the root cause you then work backwards to eliminate everything creating the problem.

Why does comp on every pass before the last one create a problem for you? I along with others have never run into such an issue and have subscribed to breaking up operations if we want this ability. Why would that process not be effective, efficient and empowering to your application?

I also break things down to 3 areas. People, Process and Technology. Where is the break down in your application?

I really wish you would not post up the solution. You are paying for a service and unless they give you permission to share it then I would rather you didn't.

I never said it was was not possible.

I'm trying to be informative and if you guys said so, then I keep it myself.   Thanks to all your suggestions.

Go back and look at my track record of sharing information and being helpful. I have shared my work for years. This is not your work so sorry if you don't see the difference between the two, but I see a huge difference. You are paying for a service and with that service there should be a certain amount of respect given in my opinion. You are free to do whatever you think is right, but I see if different and sorry I am willing to say what I think.

Thanks for all that you have shared Ron.

But If he recieved information without any agreement of disclosure then he is free to do as he wishes IMHO.
