X8 Lathe - D+ Z+ not staying

Ok, I'm probably asking the obvious, but it has me stumped.

X8 Lathe, I set the plane to D+ Z+. If I switch to ISO view for example, and then go back to top view, everything is fine. Then, if I open the parameters of an operation, and exit, it reverts the plane to Y X.

Which means, the next operation I create has the X values, when posted, at twice what is required (Okuma, so home position is programme to rapid to X900. Z300.), so I get an output of X1800, Z300.

Is there anyway to lock the plane down to D+ Z+/stop it altering when exiting the parameters?

Select your machine that you are working with. Then go to settings machine definitions manager, then select general machine parameters, and go to cplane, wcs, htc/vtl and set your plane that you want for each machine.

This doesn't work if you are dealing with and older generated file say in X4. My Co will not upgrade because of this, all of our lathe file were made in X4. Extremy frustrating.

It also reverts back to X Y if you click the "Save" icon... I'm told it is a known bug and will be fixed in X9.

LOL, it is another kick in the n**ts for lathe :)

I'm sure it didn't do this in X7?
