MC sucking up memory & slowing to a crawl!

Over the last few days MCX9 has been getting slower & slower. Last night I waited for 40 minutes for a setup sheet to generate! The other 2 seats at our shop are working fine.

Today verify is so slow it's useless. I windows task manager, then opened MCX9, the blank file in design mode grew from approx 100,000k of RAM to 180,00k in about a minute. I opened an existing file & it moved to 192,200k. I opened the verify window & it shot up to over 2,000,000k, when I clicked on the play button, with precision & speed set to their default positions of about midway, it steadily climbed to over 7,000,000k!!!

 

I went to one of the other programmers station, opened the exact same file, opened verify & ran all the way thru the program, and it barely reached 2,000,000 by the end of all of the paths.

 

Anyone have any ideas? This is causing my productivity to tank.

I got it fixed, had to lower my Simulation Precision to 2.5, from 4.0

I have it at 2.0 right now. It's better, but still lagging badly.

Try changing to 3 axis simulation setting instead of 5 axis.  I think X9 default it is set to 5axis, gives a more accurate verify. In X8, I never noticed a slow down between the two, in X9 it seems to slow down more using 5 axis.
