Cimco Edit Language Setting

Does anyone know how I can get my language settings back in Cimco? I know where it is but English isn't even on the list.

Ben it should be the last selection in the language drop down, on the first page of the Global Setup / General selection,..

Did you check the cimco.ini file in the config folder of the Cimco Edit install?

I don't even have English listed as an option.

If you see that, that is what you should see. is your system defaulting to a different language?

I don't know what happened. I went and pulled all those files from my laptop and replaced the ones on my desktop and the US English option is now back. Only thing now is the file types have weird names yet. I will do the same and swap them out once I can figure out where they are located.

No I have been using pro for a few months already.

Ben, can you do me a favor and go to the "help" in the upper corner and select Download latest version. download and let it upgrade.

Ok, I was just curious. I upgraded a while back, and it switched my language to some Arabic/Hebrew setting. Totally messed everything up

Ok, the exact same problem Ben encountered, has just happened to me.

 

No US English on the list, but the US English files are shown as per Jay picture.

 

Ben, how did you fix this?

Your xmlz / msg files are messed up.

 

Delete your CIMCO folder (After saving the Data and Cfg folders) and do a re-install.

 

Then copy the two folder above in and overwrite them. (If it is a fresh install and you never opened the editor, Data won´t exist)

I reinstalled it, and rebooted, and all was fine. Then, I restarted my computer, and it is messed up again

 

Ugh... I'll try a reinstall.

I had to uninstall and delete everything. It seemed if I tried keeping my license file that it would mess things up every time. I know it isn't ideal but it was the only way I could get it corrected.

Got the same thing happening with the latest install Cimco Edit 7.5

The language issue is associated to a number of the drop-down menus.

And that is exactly what I did. I did a complete reinstall of the whole Cimco suite.

 

Man, this is a bug (if it is a bug) I think they really need to fix. It completely hosed everything

doing this has helped a lot of my customers that have had this issue.I am hoping some of this will be fixed in Version 8.
