Leftward code mode

I am trying to figure out what I need Postability to change, in order for our post to work. The Mazak manual refers to "leftward code mode" when addressing the combatability of G61.1 & other G-code commands.

Does anyone know what "leftward code mode" means?

Does it mean the code is read from left to right?

I am not really sure. I think that the 1st column is saying code written like this:

G61.1 xxx xxx xxx

And that the 2nd column is saying code written like this:

xxx xxx G61.1

But I really don't know.

Sorry to say will have to old school it then and create test lines and go out to the control and test each possible output and see what is accepted and what is not. I worked on one machine for close to 3 years before we had what I called a bullet proof post. I left the company and they bought a Verification program and PP from the same company. After 3 years they gave up and went back to what I had been doing all along. Have to love it when the operator is your Vericut, but he is one of the best I have every worked with.

Yes, I've been emailing back & forth with them.

They are generally pretty helpful - although I have to admit - their idea of time sensitive often does not line up with the one I am used to being in a job shop.

I don't know who you guys are calling at Mazak, but I'm rarely disappointed with the south eastern support group.

We initially bought this post at the suggestion of Travis. He turned me over to Kurt, who gave me a suggestion for changes. We tried his changes & they didn't work. Now that I've emailed him to follow up, I've gotten an auto response that he will be unavailable until after 12-21-2015 & I need to start all over with someone else at applications support.

I've read from several folks about how great Mazaks support is, but that hasn't exactly been our experience.

I should say, the guys there seem pretty knowledgeable and they are usually courteous. They just don't seem to recognize the urgency that these types of issues present to a quick turn around job shop.

I know those two guys personally. Make sure you use these words: "the machine is down" as it always works for me.
