Compare to STL

Hi to everyone,

 

My question is there a way to change and save default colors on Compare to STL in the verify..

I'm little color blind and I have to change colors around every time I want to compare...

 

I'm running mcx-6.

Set the colors the way you want them, then from the Home tab, click Save to Defaults. I'm pretty sure that's how I got mine to stick.

I'm running x6 and I don't see a home tab ..

Ah yes, the new verify interface came out with X7. Doh! Let me think about it and get back to you. I know you can do it because I had certain colors saved.

Try this. Set the colors the way you want them, then go into Settings -> Configuration and save your config file.

No Good, colors stay as long as I keep the mastercam session open, but as soon as I close and start mastercam again colors revert back to defalt

I have the same issue Ron. Probably the only thing about Verify that I don't care for.

 

If any one can tell me for sure how to make them stick I'd be grateful.

I started messing with this this morning and now my values have stuck.  I saved to defaults, closed, opened and then did load from defaults file.  It's all stuck even after reboot.

under home tab as mentioned above.  Save to defaults, close verify, open, load from defautls.  then it stuck.

I see, I thought you found the answer for Ron. He's using X6 which still uses the old verify, therefore there is no Home tab.

 

I searched high and low this morning and couldn't find how to do it in X6. Like I said, I know it can be done because I have a custom color palette that I've been using for 10+ years.

but I've been up and down in and out of just about everything and haven't found any that would help me..

 

i'm starting to think might have to open a file and manually edit to select new defaults for the compare

to stl panel, but not sure what file holds that info.,

 

but I really appreciate your efforts

Believe me, if I had the say so, it would be done when it came out...

but i'm not the (IT) guy or the owner so ... I'm stuck in the past for now..
