Parameter Reference

Does any one know where I can get a more detailed Parameter Reference .PDF or something?

I have the mastercam x8 nci & param pdf but it only tells me a little info like

 

10090 | Tool type ID number.

 

I want to know what each number from Param 10090 means.

 

For now I am going to just dump my param for each tool.

Well, that didn't really work. He sent me the MPmaster   The one from X6, I have the one from X8 so yeah.

I just want to confirm, Post Reference Suite is NOT the same as the MP_Documentation. That is the second time my reseller has sent me the MP, at lest this time it's X9.

That was the MP_Documentation from X7. I assume that wasn't your intention.

Ah, gotcha. Sorry I didn't understand your reference in your email.

 

Yes, that is the "X7" version, but you need to know that doesn't make a difference. The "MP Documentation" guide is like a "library" PDF file, that contains many other files inside it. So the Volumes 1, 2, and 3, of the MP Reference Guide, have been around since V9, and only get updated sporadically.

 

What CNC Software does instead is put any "updates" in the NCI and Parameter Reference Guide. So all you need is the X9 NCI and Parameter Reference, in conjunction with the older "MP Documentation" PDF file. You need both of these separate files to make a complete documentation set...
