MC2017 / RE Cfg. it as close to X9 as possiable

Hi Guys (and Kathy & Jo)

Installed MC2017 and am starting the process of ditching all the icons of stuff I already use as a short cut etc.

 

"HIDE / UNHIDE" Icon

  don't need it I have Alt E ingrained into my brain...

Beginning screen color BLACK, Ending color BLACK...

 

and so it goes...

 

Any short cuts or snags...post 'em here  lol

There is a difference between learning new things and constantly having to retrain yourself to do the same thing. Having to relearn the constant re configuring of the interface is not learning something new IMO.

Yeah the new UI is absolutely terrible.

Far less efficient, but they don't care about efficiency, they wanted it to look better.  Sure it looks better, but I couldn't give a rats a$$ how it looks.

Having to totally redo the UI is friggin stupid, and don't get me started on all of the "default" settings that some genius put in the tool and op libraries, that's been a problem for as long as I can remember.

System Config/Screen/View Settings has the switches to make pan and rotate behave to your liking

Couodnt find it , the dialouge isnt where itbis in X9"s cfg

 

G also I dont want to see bolt cirle in points or turn profile in shapes

In the customize dialoge they are greyed out so I cant remove them ?

 

So I have to remove the entire points and shaoes panel then build my own only now without bolt circle?

I figured out the menu mumbo jumbo

Tabs/ribbon//new group ( Rename to whatever) pull in your selections from Main tabs
