X9 verify displays ball endmills as 90deg sharp tip

I don't recall encountering this problem in the past but now whenever I try to run verify on surface parallel toolpaths, my ball endmill tools are not round but 90 degrees sharp. Is it just me?

Edit: all three tolerance settings under backplot/verify options are set to 0.0025. Attached the problematic file.

I opened up the file and i have no idea why its doing that either but whatever was causing must have been fixed in 2017 because i opened it up in 2017 and hit verify and it works just fine. if you have 2017 that would be an easy fix otherwise hopefully someone can chime in and let us know if their is a fix for this in x9

It's just an incorrect setting

drag the Quality slide to the far right to maximize the resolution

If that doesn't fix it open up this file

"C:\Users\**** your username here ****\Documents\my mcamx9\MastercamSimulatorDefaults.xml"

and look in the Verify Setting field for this line

  <PrecisionIndex>10</PrecisionIndex>

I'll bet it's set to something low like 1 or 2

change it to 10 and see if that helps

Thanks for the help. Quality slider has no effect and neither does PrecisionIndex. It it just now a very high-polygon pencil.

I started a new file and created a similar toolpath with a ball endmill and voila, the pencil is gone. So, thus far it seems I have to recreate my project from scratch to eliminate this issue as 2017 is not an option... yet. *sigh*
