  1. I used NCplot. It did just what I needed it to do. To bad its only a 15 day trial. But nonetheless, it worked!
  2. Thanks everyone! I have Cimco Edit, but apparently not the full blown version. I am missing some tabs at the top as well.
  3. Hi all, I'm looking for an NC editor that will do a search and replace for the Z axis. But instead of a straight replace of the Z number, will add to the Z number, no matter what the Z number is. I have a lathe program with a lot of Z moves. I just want to add .240 to all the Z numbers. Is there an editor that can do this? Thanks
  4. Hi Rusty, I use surface flowline quite a bit. Try using the Extend command under the Surfaces tab. When you pick the surface to extend, you have to place the arrow where you want to extend that part of the surface. It sounds like you need to place the arrow at the bottom of the chamfer surface.
  5. go into parameters, cut parameters, Stops. If "as glue stop" is selected its a M01, if "as stop" then M00, Use the Distance before end of tab to make it stop where you want.
  6. You may have to make a radius on the edge and use a ball endmill. I attached what i did. Edge Rad.mcam
  7. You could share the file, and someone with Solidworks ( like me) could tell you what the holes are. OR, that customer just needs to get you the information that you need. Just some thoughts................
  8. My bad. I read right over that.
  9. CTRL+T, Or very bottom right of screen is the toggle for translucency.
  10. MoldPlus kept making my computer do that. ( shut off without warning ) I uninstalled it. Works fine ever since.
  11. I'm glad someone else has experienced the crashes with the mold plus add-on. I wasn't using the power surface, but had random crashes ever since I added mold plus. I just uninstalled Mold plus and that solved the problem. But in my case, I'm not using MP everyday. But my boss is paying for the maintenance so i thought i better have it installed. Nothing but problems when it was installed. Just my 2 cents worth.
  12. Gotcha, thanks for your reply. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
  13. I'm going to jump in on this. My problem is this, I have the drill pecking but the backplot does not show the drill rapiding back in the hole to the .02 clearance. Therefore it throws the time off in the backplot. The program posts out good, with the rapid back in to the peck clearance. So the post isn't the problem. I just like to use the time on the backplot to give my boss a ball park time. Any ideas? Im using MC2020 update 2
  14. but, can you add a "peck" cycle? So the tool pecks like a drill before doing the contour.
  15. This is a great improvement. I would still like to see when you do a 2D contour, the option to "peck" the endmill into the material if there isn't an entry hole. Instead of using a slow plunge feed. Maybe have the option in the depth cuts page. Back in my Surfcam days, I used that option all the time. Then switched to Mastercam when i changed jobs, and really miss that option.
