Living Forum-based Guidelines Document The Forum is for licensed Mastercam users. Please register as a member of the forum by clicking on 'Register' located on any forum page. Registered users who allow Administrators and Moderators to send them email will receive software patch and update notices. Feel free to post your Mastercam questions or comments on the forum, but please read these guidelines carefully before posting! These guidelines were written for you. Following them will allow us to help you faster and more efficiently. Ignoring them will lead to less helpful replies or no help at all. We may send you back here to read them! The Forum is for licensed Mastercam users in good standing. You may be asked at any time to supply us with your SIM #. Use of the Forum is a privilege, not a right. 1. Use 'Message Icons' to indicate specific topic categories. This will help members identify areas of interest at a glance. Please use these conventions: 2. Read back a few weeks in the posts already here. Your question may have already been posted, and the answer may already be waiting. The 'search' feature is helpful in finding messages related to your question. 3. You are encouraged to participate and answer questions posted by other Forum Members if you can. The model for this Forum is users helping users. 4. If you have the ability to place files on an anonymous FTP site, do so and place a link to the file in your message. Jayson 'cadcam' Kramer has allowed access to his own FTP site. Please follow these FTP Upload Instructions. 5. No technical support questions will be answered by direct email to eMastercam.com. Use the Forum! For direct email technical support contact your reseller, or CNC Software's Technical Support Department. 6. Forgot your password? Use the 'Lost Password?' feature under 'Login' to have your User name and password emailed to your account. User names and passwords are *case sensitive*. 7. Using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS is the equivalent of yelling on the Internet. You *do* need to duct tape that Caps Lock key down for G-Code, but please untape it for this Forum. 8. Use of profanity including acronyms involving profanity will not be tolerated. 9. There is a web-based translation tool called Babel Fish that can be used to translate Forum posts into different languages. A 'Translate' button can also be added to Internet Explorer 5 to jump from any page directly to Babelfish. 10. Do post a 'thank you' when your problem is resolved. Other members may waste time offering assistance when you have already moved on. 11. Issues with your reseller should be resolved directly with your reseller and/or CNC Software. Airing out your issues using the forum will not be tolerated. 12. CNC Software discourages any discussion of pricing over the Internet, and we will respect their wishes on this forum. Around the globe product prices may fluctuate for various reasons including but not limited to economic conditions, varying service structures, international translation costs, and distribution costs. Thanks for taking the time to read through this. Enjoy the forum.
