Dynamic OptiRough Wall taper

Hi all,

Is there a way to add a slight wall taper in this tool path, for deep pockets? Say 1°-2°

You can use the step up option...

Give your cutter a full depth of cut and use the step ups to dress tapered areas

I meant adding taper to a vertical wall for cutter shank clearance. But I was using the wrong toolpath. Thanks for the fast reply though!

I'm not at work but under the tool page where you pick your tool there should be the word holder

 

Here draw or select your holder and there is a button to click to gouge check. I'm pretty sure it's there under holder.

Why I keep pushing for people to define their holders and tool length. Now a programmer is using Mastercam better and in a more productive way.
