Importing Solidworks assembly into Mastercam

The most reliable transfer protocol is parasolid. You can use .x_t (parasolid text)  or .x_b (parasolid binary)

While there are tools as above for specific transfer protocols the parasolid are the most reliable over all the CAD systems.

The simplest solution is to export out of SolidWorks as an X_B file.

Go to System Config / Converters in Mastercam and check out the Save as Parasolid drop

and see what the highest Parasolid version is.

Then in Solidworks set it to that version on the Options page when you Save As

Ah damnit.  Thats the problem.  So what about If i save it as a step file or something like that?  I've been planning to go back to SW2019 after this project is done anyways.  Maybe I need to do it sooner.

You can save the assembly as either an x_t or x_b(Parasolid)  that should get all the parts
