Creating curves from solids

Is there a way to draw a line along a section of a solid and having mastercam create the curve on that spot, like slicing it?  The way I do it now is by cutting the solid, creating a curve on the edge and then going into the solids manager and deleting the trim, then regenerating the solid.  Sometimes Ill copy the solid to another level too.

I hope my question makes sense.

I believe what you are looking for is the Transform->Project function.

If it gives you an error no projections found you may need to restart Mastercam.

I have created slices on solids going back to V9 days like decried above though the terminology has changed pretty much the same process.
