Siemens 3x mill post

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am the beginner regarding mastercam and handling postprocessors.

I am able to generate .mpf out of .mcam file with a Siemens 3x Mill Post.

However my Siemens CNC machine doesn't understand the commands for drilling CYCLE82 with 9 parameters.

Post is generating following output:

N240 MCALL CYCLE82(30.,0.,2.,-5.5,,0.,0,0,12)

but then I have to manually remove last 3 parameters 0,0,12 in order that the CNC understands it and executes without exceptions.

Do I need to edit Siemens 3x Mill Post to generate CYCLE82 with only 6 parameters, or do I need to change some settings in Mastercam 2018 itself? I dont understand how this part can be configurable that the output would be like the following.

N240 MCALL CYCLE82(30.,0.,2.,-5.5,,0.)

This is also number of parameters I see in manual for Sinumerik for that cycle

CYCLE82 (RTP, RFP, SDIS, DP, DPR, DTB)

In postprocessor I was able to change the keyword CYCLE82 itself but I dont know how to change anything regarding parameters.

If you need any additional information (mcam file,...) to help me find the solution I will gladly provide it.

Machine: DMC 64 V linear DECKEL MAHO

Control: Sinumerik 810D, I dont know exactly which version. Versions screen is included in an attached image.

As I see post is intended for Siemens 840D and 828D controls. But the machine is actually running 810D, could this be a problem?
Or could it be that the post is supported for Mastercam 2017 but not for the 2018 version that I am using now? But the post release updates are saying that it was updated for 2018.

@Zaffin you were mentioning Siemens 3x_4x post (currently supported), are you saying that I should try with post under this name? Do you have resources where to get it?
