X axis is inverted?

Recommended Posts

I recently changed my post from:

#Machine axis switches, initial
old_new_sw : 1 #Switch old (6T), new (0T+) cycle formats, 0=old, 1=new

to:

#Machine axis switches, initial
old_new_sw : 0 #Switch old (6T), new (0T+) cycle formats, 0=old, 1=new

because my HAAS lathe uses single line canned cycles, which worked to fix that but now my x values all post inverted.
ex.
if drawn to X1.0, Z-.5  it posts, X-1.0, Z-.5

How can I get these to post normally?

edit1: i tried switching back that line and it is still posting inverted, i must've changed something else...

It really comes down to how you want to program a TL. You can use the ST post and be done, just need to program it as a upper turret machine. I prefer this way, that way if you want to run the same program on another lathe that is a slant, just change the post and go. If you program a TL as a lower turret machine, you would have to mirror the geometry and then change the post when moving over to another lathe.

If you change the multiplier like Colin said, I believe you will also have an issue with the arcs being reversed.
