Cutter compensation for C axis face profiling (end mill)

Tool length offsets on the lathe are typically declared with the tool number and offset together, i.e., T0101, and the nose radius of the insert would be entered for the cutter compensation. So for C axis profiling how is the cutter compensation controlled? On a regular mill it would be controlled by the D1 value. If we were profiling with an end mill using the C axis of a lathe do we enter the radius of the cutter where the nose radius would usually be? I'm using the educational version so I have no post. Thanks in advance.
