I've had good luck with Dells

I bought at least 5 workstaions from the Dell Business Outlet store  over a twenty year period and never had a bit of trouble with any of them

Several of them have been given to young guys wanting to learn Mastercam and are still in service today

I'd probably still be buying Dells if they made work stations with i9's. these days

Dell was sued for knowingly shipping computers with faulty motherboard. They even shipped 1000 of them to their own legal team. They are way overpriced on top of that.

Check out View/Multithreading

Set the cores to 8.

This will help with the newer high speed toolpaths that use multithreading

There is not much to be done for the old legacy surfacing paths.

You should also set Maximum available ram to at least 50% in System Config.

You might find this thread interesting

Benchmark 3.0

Can you explain setting the ram in the system conifg?

I never set mine above 85%. I was setting it to 99% and then started getting major issues with my systems years ago. I kicked it down to 85% and my system was more stable.

I have had this rig for all of 3 days so far, so have not had it long enough to notice any adverse affects. I might drop it down to be safe though.

If you set it too high, there will be no ram available for Windows and other apps

Then the system will have to do lots of read/writes to the hard drive to function

This will effect stability, performance and possibly cause lockup's and crashes
