Can Mastercam 2019 output directly to an Epilog Laser

Hello

I teach at a 7-12 school and we have purchased an Epilog laser.  We  have used Mastercam for about 15 years now and are up to 2019.  we are trying to print directly to the endgraver but it says that it needs a raster or vector input.  Has anyone done this?  I know we can save it as a dxf and import it into Coral Draw but it is a real pain as it will import all hidden levels as well and we end up with info which we do not want.  I would love to be able to directly send the info to the laser from Masteram directly.  Any help would be appreciated.

The longer answer involves what exactly you need for output to give to the laser?

Hello  All I need is basic 2d vector cutting and rastor engraving on flat surfaces.  Example Im going to bring in the grade 3s and we will engrave their names on pencils.  each kid's pencil will be on a different spot on our pencil holding jig.

I think an example of the code the machine reads might be helpful here. You will need some kind of modified / edited post to give your desired output, whether it is possible (or more likely how much work is involved) depends on how much your code differs from the available posts.

This is what I have created with all the levels.  I just want to print level five only.  If I import this into Coral draw it will bring all levels in.

You can use "Save Some" instead of "Save As" when outputting the DXF from Mastercam ... that will only put what you want in the DXF f ile.

Thanks for all the replies.  I've been trying that but it seems to lose its position for some reason when it comes into coral

Do you have to bring it into Coral or could you send the DXF file directly to the machine?

A quick look through their site seems to indicate that it's leaving CorelDraw via the print screen.. What happens if you go to Mastercam's File > Print option and send it?

The laser won't accept the file.  It gives an error saying that it is not the correct format.

Look in Coral's import/export settings

Look for something like

"Do not move into positive space"
