Good Technical information on Machining

I get asked this question a lot in PM's and emails so I thought I would put a link to one anyone can download that I have found covers a lot about machining .Yes it is biased toward Sandvik and their tools, but has good information.

If you know of other Technical manuals like this for download please share them so others can have something to read and learn from.

Machinist Handbook is still a good book and I have several different copies over the years. Tim Markoski gave me a 1914 reprint of one when we did some work together on a project years ago.  It was cool to see how much the profession has change in those years.

Nice to have this on PDF, thank you!  When I first started machining, I somehow found out you could get a bunch of free literature by emailing Sandvik.  They sent me this, among a number of other nice, hardcover books.  I still refer to this one on occasion.

Another very helpful Sandvik publication is their Heat Resistant Super Alloys Application guide.

Lots of great information on strategies for dealing with the Nastalloys.

I still have my printed copies that Sandvik used to give. Some are 16 years old. 

The turn milling and HRST application guides still get quite a bit of use
