Well, I guess chaining in 2021 is messed up....

If you still have 2020 or earlier installed...try this...

draw a straight line...any length.....create a contour toolpath, when chaining, select partial chain and click on the wait button....then click one end of the line, system wais and click the other end of the line...the chain reverses...

If you back plot it it will feed in one direction, then the other...great for getting under something and back out...

Now try it in 2021

That gets you 2 separate chains...

 

 

I just ran backplot...it does actually still work,,,it's the chaining view that's messed up

i got it to work but it just doesnt show the arrow coming back, see video below on what i did but basically it was what you described JParis, just doesn't show the arrow.

Yup that's what I eventually figgered out...the chaining isn't showing proper but the path works
