Electrochemical etching and Laser Etching

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I am not sure, should I bring the issue before you here but it would be highly appreciated if you someone here has  experience on electrochemical etching vs laser etching. Already acquired a a bit more  ideas from heatsign hence I would like to learn more about it.
Any extra focus on the term might be helpful.
Thanks in advance for your time.

I've done both. Electrochemical is a pain in the you know what. And it can only etch a conductive material. Today, I would think that laser etching is the way to go since it can etch anything and in a much more varied way. Of course, to etch or mark metal, a fiber laser is required. Most softwares support serial numbers an addition to Truetype Fonts and all raster and vector images.
