Hi all,

what  do most of you use in regards to toolpath verification?

do you typically use the verify selected operations in operations manager and then compare to your original model ?

Or are people using machine simulation to check with either backplot or verify?

Im not finding  much information on the latter but would like to learn more about it..

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

In Mastercam on our Mills, 4th & 5th axis, I fly by the seat of my pants....I have MachSim setup but it is not tied to the post so it is taken with a grain of salt.

Mill/Turn I have the full machine simulation that comes with an environment

I am pushing to get something but currently I am pounding my head against a brickwall

^^ Yep what he said ^^

Use the best product you can afford, maybe that is just the free Machine SIM that comes with Mastercam.

You can also upgrade the post so that Mastercam’s machine SIM is linked back to the post

CAMplete is a great product for a reasonable cost. Vericut is the next level with next level features.

At the end of the day these products are all cheaper than a spindle replacement on a quality machine

Vericut was also taken over but like James said in regards to Camplete I doubt they will be discontinued.

IMHO there will be more takeovers and mergers in 2021 in the CAD/CAM industry.

Has anyone received notice of the buyout from CGTech?

If they sent an email out about it, I missed it.

My shop started with CAMplete and it has done us decent for a while, but with what we want to do it seems Vericut is the direction we are heading.
