Mill 3D Tools

Hello all

Is there any way we can import stp file of tool (basically 3D model) into Mastercam mill (not lathe), without sketching it ?. With lathe we can do.

#Rekd™ my friend it works, only trick is to bring tool (stp) file into mastercam, realign it, and save back as a stp file, but it works, thanks for help.

That is the normal process with certain tool companies. They don't follow the ISO-13399 standard. CNC Software can only take what they are given and then make it work. When the vendors in their arrogance and shameful marketing method refuse to standardize and follow it then we get the issue you are facing. Here is a quick article to sum up exactly what I am saying to educate yourself on it.
