Crashing when adding Manufacturer name

In 2021, whenever I try to add a tool manufacturer name I get the error shown in the screenshot.  When I try a second time, Mastercam crashes.  Any solutions to this?

Maybe you named it something using characters that aren't allowed?

Is this in the internal Tool Manager or the external app?

This is within a tool, in the MC Tool Manager.  Not the standalone app.  I named it Mikron.  No weird characters.  I've also tried ABC, etc.

Did you reboot Mastercam to see if that fixes it?

The latest update was causing some issues as well.

I ran into this problem. I submitted it to QC and they said they could not replicate it. For me, it was happening when I tabbed between the Name and Description fields when there was existing data with characters in the field.

What's the process for submitting bugs to mastercam?  Just send an email to the technical.support email?  

 

 I'll submit it as well, since it's a little frustrating.  Even when I make a new tool, I'm not able to add a mfr.

I didn't realize there was an Update 3 issued. Is there a document that says what the changes are? I t didn't say with the "Info" button on the downloads page.

My maintenance expired and our accounting is slow at paying invoices so luckily I can't install it!

Dealing with Dell on my new 7750 Laptop.....they are replacing it but I doubt that will solve the issues as it seems software based.
