"New" computer not recognizing HASP

Old (Win 7) computer in the shop is dying, so I am trying to set up a new (old, but good) computer.  It is Windows 10, if that matters.  I installed MC2019.  I notice when I plug the hasp in, nothing happens (I expected the computer to recognize a new USB component.)  And I have tried it in different USB ports.  When I double click the hasp update, it says it can not find the hasp.  

 

What gives?

It is looking for a .nhcode.  The codes we have are .hcode.  Do I need to get newer hasp codes from our reseller?

if its a hasp (typically purple in color) then it would require a .hcode file to perform the hasp update, and you would need to use the Haspx.exe utility

if its a network hasp (typically red in color) then it would use a .Nhcode file along with the Nhaspx.exe utility.

Also if its a NetHasp you need to install the NetHASP License Manager on the new computer where you are plugging in the NetHasp.  Even if you are using the NetHasp locally you still need to install the NetHASP License Manager.
