Stupid Question on Translate Gnomon

Yes, when you are creating and transforming geometry Mastercam uses the cplane in almost all cases.

cplane stands for construction plane, the gnomon position for translate should be at the center of your selection.

Dynamic Transform lets you put the gnomon anywhere on the part, but the result is the same.

Is it possible to make the Cplane match the part gnomon and the world gnomon. These little things I stumble with and don’t fully understand are going to cause me great pain when Info to post this stuff. I just know it :)

Yes, the planes manager lets you set this from the left pane, i can be made visible from the view tab.

You can also change it in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.

There is a recycling looking drop down on the planes manager, if you set cplane follows gview, it will automate your transitions
