Hi guys

I'm trying to create a Opti rough toolpath using stock that was created in a previous operation.

When calculating this MasterCam is outputting the toolpath as if it was a solid block when clearly its not.

See pics also I will attached zip2go file also here- https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqiFymYHxox3iKYDCCpveYEGQGABVQ?e=kcy7rj

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I looking very quickly at this now. I'm a bit old school but I would define a new stock model before your OP5. I sometimes have my very first op as a stock model. I also have 2-3-4 stock models as I go along and then refer to the last stock model as my current part condition for my rest milling op.

Need to make progressive stock models and use them for your toolpaths. I don't like the process of using previous operations. Stock models works best in my humble opinion.

We are saying about the same thing.

Thanks for the help guys. the stock model done the trick!

Learning how to use stock models was a huge help for me!  In addition to the advice from these guys, once you're happy with the toolpath, and you're tired of waiting for the stock model to regen, you can convert the stock model to a PMESH, or an STL and use that instead of the stock model.  Just make sure to "re-convert" that pmesh if you change anything.
