Hey guys my 2021 is hosed...anything special I need to do to reinstall?

Delete registry keys?

ect

Hi Morlin,

Try deleting the .workspace or .config file from the my mastercam 2021 folder.

I second what gracjan said, 2022 will be released next month, it does a lot better.

For 2021 usually I have a zipped my mastercam and shared mastercam folder

backed up in the same folder and I just unzip it when the install gets hosed.

I deleted workspace files and configs and nothing happened same same.

Uninstalled licensed  machine simulator same same.

What happened is that I had 2 instances of 2021 open plus one machine simulator.

I tried to open another simulator on the second instance and that's where the trouble started.

I would have to task manager and drop Mastercam it would lock up.

The machine simulator window would pop up when opening up a file.

Then this window comes up

Mastercam would appear to hang and I would have to task manager out.

then I found this pop up hidden underneath everything.

This pop up would occur no matter what version of Mastercam I would try to run....  ANY  2021, 2020, 2019 file on my computer.

But it would pop up underneath everything and went undetected for a while so I would drop the Mastercam thread as it would appear

to be locked up.

before I found this pop up I would drop thread...open up 2020...same thing....2019 same thing...

I discovered the pop up closed it and  more errors..

After closing all the errors,  The machine simulator popup always flashes now when I press this button.

On every version of Mastercam.   Perhaps it always did and I never noticed it.2021-05-14_4-59-34.thumb.jpg.d9a7c721e820031273ed044e8cc94cd5.jpg

Tell me all is well now lol...

I would make a backup and delete the entire my mastercam and shared mastercam folders.

I didn't understand what was happening at first, I was thinking it was crashing on startup.

Definetly need to restart  the PC, did you do any updates recently to your graphics card or windows version?

Maybe a .net framework update?

restarted pc did all that...yes Windows did an update...already had to roll back outlook it was hosed...

I am also thinking Windoz update is the culprit...
