Hello everybody,

How to know what exactly problem in operation settings if Mastercam show only this stupid message with zero informationimage.png.54bd5e4a109ff9c26ed55c91bd895b61.png

This is result of waterline op in Mastercam 2022.

How can I know which parameter interfere generate toolpath?

Thanks for any help.

Sincerely,

This can be caused by many things

One on the most common errors I make is that the depth limit settings are wrong

and there is nothing to cut at those limits

Another is containment boundary errors which make it impossible for the tool to machine the drive surfaces

If you share the file with us, we can probably tell you what the stupid problem is.

Hi Thad, file attached. The problem in side_2 op 17. I need clean small corner and different types of toolpath gives me same result - error creating toolpath.

Thanks for help.

Sincerely,

Michael.

Hi gcode,

Depth limit and containment boundary defined properly, I think problem in other place.  Just in many error we can see where problem, for example cutter comp not successful, or shape of tool wrong defined or something else. But in this case nothing! Where to looking for wrong setting? Any surface toolpath have 20-30 settings, which of them incorrect? For my opinion this is not clever.

Thank you very  much.

Sincerely,

Michael.

This is what I do sometimes

copy the op, then reload the default parameters and regen

then work my way back to the toolpath I need

I agree that a more specific alarm would be helpful

Doesn't this toolpath have a skip pockets smaller than field?

That one has caught me out with missing clean up like this.

The toolpath does not like your stock definition

I turned it off and it regens perfectly

I like how waterline cuts this .. I think it is a better choice than raster

Hi gcode,

Thanks for help!

The stock really absolutely unnecessary here. I think , this parameter styed on from last session.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Michael.

Hi nickbe10,

The skip pocket option not interfere, the stock definition made a problem.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

Michael.
