solid model regen

What would cause a solid model to Regen and looks correct on the screen  , But still shows an X on the tab.  No errors

Deletion or alteration of a piece of the defining geometry to create the solid

i usually copy all the geometry to another level and turn off original  so  not to modify solid creation

Are you creating solids within Mastercam? Model Prep - Remove solid history if you are done creating a solid. Then yoyu can move things without issue. Otherwise your solids will become dirty if you move/alter them

Similarly I would blank items used in solid creation for protection.
