METRIC to ENGLISH post processor conversion?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,
I just got hired into a company who is previously bought a used UMC750 METRIC and it also came with METRIC POST in POST as well.  Now they have called SELWAY to convert the METRIC to ENGLISH.  I would like to convert from their current post processor from METRIC to ENGLISH as well.

Is there a quick way or switch from the MACHINE DIFINITION to ENABLE the ENGLISH and DISABLE the METRIC?

Thank you.

Steven,

That isn't how a Post is setup. All Posts are, by default, capable of outputting either Metric or Inch code.

The output of the Post is based on the Input from a Mastercam File. If the File is Inch, you get Inch output. If the File is Metric, you get Metric output.

This is handled by the 'fs2' function. You get 1 column for formatting Inch, and the 2nd column for formatting Metric.

The only Metric or Inch difference would be the Machine Definition File, but even that won't really matter, for output from the Post.
