I need to get NC file name into File name in saving Setup sheet as PDF. It currently takes Description from MD manager.

If you click on the Help button and see the Setup Sheet XML Outline and Tag Glossary Overview.  This will tell you what tags are available to have the information pulled into the setup sheet.

I think that he's talking about the default filename when saving the report?

It defaults to the machine definition name.  

Is it possible to change that?

Looks like I miss understood the question.  I thought they were trying to pull the NC file name into the report.  

I did a search around and cant find anyways to change the file name when you save.  Perhaps someone at CNC Software could provide some input here.  I doubt this is the first request  they've received asking this questions.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Thanks for illustration.

I suppose if there were a link between in, it could be changed.

I make the name the same as the .NC file. Seems logical to me.

I do this by selecting the .NC file and backing out the .NC   Isn't it a windows protocol to ADD the extension when saving a file if it's not in the name???

Every once in a while I forget to change the extension and it actually overwrites the nc file with the pdf file.
