Mastercam 2023 Problems

Hello Everyone,

 

New to the forum and first time posting here. My apologies if this is not posted in the correct area. 

I recently purchased Mastercam 2023, I am coming from Mastercam 2021 from my old shop and there are somethings that really dont function as well as they use to.

The biggest problem I am having is in the verfiy feature. If I make a program in mastercam with just milling toolpaths and run it through verify its great, all the edges are sharp and crisp and no problems. The problems begin as soon as I add a drilling cycle. once there is a drilling operation in my program and I run it through verify the model looks terrible inside the verify window. edges are just crude blocky edges and around my drilled holes are even worse, you wouldnt even know it was a drilled hole, all the detail is missing. 

 

So my question to all of you is; is anyone else experiencing this as well? Is there a setting I can  change to fix this? One difference I notice when loading a program with only milling toolpaths verse a program with drilling is when the verify window first pops up and is loading, I notice in the bottom right corner there is a loading bar that says enhancing model. I only see this loading bar on the programs without drilling operations.

Make sure you are using the 5 axis engine in the simulator options.

Welcome to the world of accurate zoom->reset zoom ::repeat::!  You could try cranking the precision slider all the way up which will make it take longer and results will vary.
