Small diameter drill on D2

We're drilling 1/32 holes on non-heat treated D2, and we're struggling.    We're using cobalt drills and the just break too easy.  I have some carbide drills coming, but I don't have too much fate in them.  Any help appreciated.

On really hard materials we have had a lot of success with using carbide Mikron Crazy Drills in conjunction with the Mikron Crazy Pilot drills.

There's a place for cobalt drills and that's not it. Ideally you want through spindle coolant but presuming that's not available there's a few drill manufacturers I've had very good success with;

Mitsubishi, Sumitomo, OSG, Kennametal.

We got through it by changing the drills every 4 parts, we only needed 35 parts.  Always have trouble getting proper tools because Engineering springs stuff on me last minute...
