MultiXPost cannot interpolate between two moves with opposite orientations

Greetings all,

We're slow so, I've been playing around trying to do some 3+2 indexing. When I go to simulate what I have a get the above mentioned error. I've tried putting the T\C planes in different orientations relative to the WCS and still get this message. The post in the generic Enshu 5x post I downloaded from the Mastercam Knowledge Database. As far as I know, it does not have plane rotation  or dynamic work offsets, though I could be wrong. What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks,

Doug

Try creating an intermediate move to a B90 anlge say...if you're moving 180° there are 2 solitions...as the post isn't tied to the simulation it can get upset...

Not sure how to add an intermediate move. I'm a longtime Camworks user and all I had to do was place a coordinate system at the COR and the software took care of the rest. When I back plot, my toolpath doesn't look right and think that I have something wrong with how I have my planes setup.

Are there any good online tutorials to help me with 3+2 machining?

This site offers a Multiaxis tutorial..up under Downloads..

Though I'm not sure any training material deals with those kinds of issues...but should cover usage
